Controversial activist and lawyer, Alice Nkom, will henceforth represent Jean Marie Atangana Mebara, former Secretary General at the Presidency .
Atangana Mebara's dismissed his defense team of lawyers recently.
Alice Nkom, famous for championing gay rights was present at the Special Criminal Court in
Yaounde, Monday July 13, 2015, on behalf of her new client.
Atangana Mebara is one of those accused of swindling funds ($31 billion) which were meant to acquire a presidential jet now known as the "Albatross Affair".
