Man Commits Suicide By Jumping into River Wouri

The unfortunate incident took place at 9am Monday July 13, 2015. The man, who left his National ID Card, a mobile phone, an umbrella, and FCFA 4200 on the bike he boarded from Rond Point Deido,

is reported to have gotten off the bike, and taken a plunge into the river. Rescue efforts proved futile.

His ID card bears the name, Issouk Pierre, aged 41.

A family member who came to the scene says the man had been abandoned by his wife and children.

The search team interrupted their efforts at nightfall, the search continues this morning.
