Classic case of paying back good with evil.
Former Indomitable Lions Captain Rigobert Song, was robbed yesterday afternoon, Monday July 20, 2015, when he was in the very act of doing good.
According to eyewitness accounts, while driving at snail's pace in the Yassa neighbour, Douala, due to heavy traffic,Song was recognized by fans, who began to hail him.
Touched by their words, he began to dole out cash, spraying the fans, to their delight.
Some shady individuals however, took advantage of the situation to reach into the backseat and made away with his briefcase. The briefcase is reported to have an undisclosed amount of money and jewellry estimated at millions of CFA frs.
The gendarmes were alerted, but, it was already too late.
He'll probably keep his windows firmly shut when next he's stuck in traffic.
