Had to make sure i had the right information guys, thats why this is coming a bit late. Mendo will be spending his 2nd night in jail today. He was arrested alongside 3 others yesterday. Two of them are officials of the ministry of finance Bassa Achille, and Monga Paul. The third is a Crtv official, a lady, Mekoulou Marie Christine.
A warrant of arrest was also issued for Amang A Bitegui. 20 other people were equally questioned yesterday in connection.
Gervais Mendo Ze, former Crtv Director General is in this situation owing to the poor management of the audiovisual tax during his 17 year stay at the helm. It should be recalled that in 2009, following claims from the Supreme State Audit, and the examination of his financial records, the Budget, Discipline and Finance Committee found him guilty and ordered him to pay close to 2.7 billion. He is rumoured to have paid back a good chunk of that sum.
On a personal note, this has to be the most difficult time of his life, as himself and his wife separated some time ago, not too long after the death of their son. He probably will spend his 70th birthday, coming up on the 25th of December, in jail.

Thank you for updating us with info. I think he should complete the chunk and be released. That has taught the rest a lesson.Corruption is not only at that level, go down the ladder and will see wonders. the RRI at the various ministries should sit up.
