Archbishop of Yaounde To Be Installed On Saturday

                       

The new Archbishop of Yaounde, His Lordship, Jean Mbarga, will be installed on Saturday. This will be  during a Holy Mass at the Our Lady Of Victories Cathedral.

In prelude to the Installation, His Lordship Jean Mbarga will make a solemn entry into Yaounde tomorrow, with several short stopovers,in some parishes including Mfou, Messamendongo and
Nsam. This will culminate with prayers at the Mvolye Minor Basilica at 3pm. 

It should be recalled that Pope Francis appointed Bishop Jean Mbarga of the Catholic Diocese of Ebolowa in Cameroon as Archbishop of Yaoundé on Friday oct 31.

Until his appointment, the Archbishop-elect was serving as Apostolic Administrator of the Archdiocese of Yaoundé since July last year following the resignation of Archbishop Victor Tonyé Bakot in accordance with Canon Law.

Archbishop-elect Jean Mbarga was born on May 18, 1956 in the town of Ebolmedzom.
