Fire Ravages Douala International Airport Freight Section

There was quite some drama today at the Douala International Airport, where a fire broke out at the freight section. The fire whose cause is not yet known, is said to have occurred in the early hours of the day. The fire is said to have caused considerable material damage to the warehouses of several freight companies, and has paralyzed their activites.
No human life was lost thankfully. The main import and export warehouse is said to be unaffected.
The SDO for Wouri, Naseri Paul Bea has set up a commission of enquiry, to find out the cause of the fire and assess the material damage.
The incident hasn't affected air traffic at the airport, and contingency measures are being implemented to ensure that it's business as usual at the freight section.
I think it's rather unfortunate as reports have it that there is no system in place to detect a fire outbreak, there are hazardous electrical installations, and to crown it all, bad roads leading to the freight section of the Douala International Airport.
