National Road Transport Strike Called Off Monday

There would have been a strike today which would have shut down public transport, but this has been averted

The National Union of Cameroon Transporters, NUCT, has called off the strike scheduled for today November 10, 2014.

In a press release dated November 7, 2014, the NUCT strongly condemned the
"irresponsible attitude" of those who called for the strike, and asked drivers not to allow themselves be "mainpulated" by I'll-intentioned persons, who do not weigh the "disastrous" consequences of such a strike.

In this regard, a meeting between transport trade union leaders and the ministers of Transport, and of Finance, will hold tomorrow, Tuesday November 11
