A form two student of the Baptist Comprehensive High School, Njinikijem in Belo Sub Division, North West, Cliff Beyoni, recently stabbed to death an Upper Sixth student, Carle Ayeah, of the same school.
According to eye witnesses, Cliff Beyoni had been riding a bicycle and knocked down a student who was returning from school. Beyoni was seriously rebuked by on lookers for showing no concern over the student he had knocked down, who had sustained injuries.
This rather infuriated the young delinquent, as he stabbed the already injured student on the hand.
One of the onlookers at the scene was the late Carle Ayeah. Shocked by Beyoni's rather inhuman act, he rushed to the aid of the injured student, but in an inexplicable fit of rage, Cliff Beyoni proceeded to stab Ayeah twice on the neck.
He is said to have bled profusely and died on the spot.
The incident sparked an uproar, as the furious crowd mostly made up of students descended on the delinquent, who was rescued by the police.
The father of the deceased Victor Nju Chung, a worker with CAMTEL in Nkambe, is said to be inconsolable.
Many suspect that the delinquent was part of a cult.
