Cameroon's Cadet Lions Replace Ghana's Black Starlets at U17 ChampionshipHolding Next Year

The Cameroon Cadet Lions will participate in the 2015 African U17 Championship holding in Niger. They sailed through after the Confederation of African Football, CAF, yesterday confirmed its stance to disqualify the Black Starlets of Ghana, over age-cheating claims.
Cameroon had filed a complaint against seven Ghanaian players after the first leg of their 3rd round qualifying clash played on September 13 which the Black Starlets won 2-1.

CAF subsequently requested the retest of two Ghanaian players on October 1 to ascertain whether they indeed fall within the age limit, and proceeded to disqualify the Black Starlets after an adverse finding against one of the two retested players in a further analysis done on the results.

The Ghana Football Association however appealed the decision on the basis of an analysis done by an independent Radiologist Consultant.

But, CAF announced yesterday that it was maintaining its stance , thus earning Cameroon a place at next year's tournament which starts from February 15 to March 1.

What an irony. The black starlets look much younger than the U17 Lions. There is some degree of favoritism since a Cameroonian is at the helm of that confederation. Behold coz am a Cameroonian.
