Former Cameroon Ambassador to U.S and Detainee Jerome Mendouga Dies

Heard about his death yesterday, but since it wasn't confirmed, I didn't want to post this, but it's true, Jerome Mendouga is no more. The man who spent 15 years at the head of Cameroon's Embassy to the U.S, died as a detainee, of the Kondengui Central Prison. He had been taken to the Yaounde General Hospital for intensive care, where he died yesterday.

He was in the confines of the Kondengui Prison, for his involvement in the Albatross affair, over which he had always maintained his innocence.
He was arrested 5 months after his return from the U.S in November 2008, jailed in connection with the infamous aircraft scandal.
He spent five years in jail until his death.
