From SuperSport
Cameroon striker Benjamin Moukandjo has admitted that the lack of attacking efficiency is what cost them an early exit in the Africa Cup of Nations taking place in Equatorial Guinea.
The Indomitable Lions recorded two one all draws with Mali and Guinea before finally being knocked off by Ivory Coast in the group D stages by 1-0.
Although the four time Africa Cup of Nations winners have not been at their best in recent years, there was hope that they would bounce back in this tournament.

“Overall, in our three games, we lacked attacking efficiency. We always succeed in taking the spaces and making the difference but we often missed the

Little Boy Whose Scalp Was Devoured By Dogs Is Healing Nicely

Oh! Praise be to God for the life of this little 4year old Nigerian boy.

When I read the story of Omonigho Abraham, last year, I cried. Believe me, I wept, my heart was broken for this kid. He was attacked by two German shepherds last year. The vicious dogs owned by a neighbour devoured his scalp for an hour, and he was left with his skull exposed. He was only rescued when his mother was called to the scene and met 2 dogs eating away at her son's head, with bystanders and even police men standing there unable (is that even the right word?mtcheeeeeew) to help. Sepp Blatter To Face Serious Contenders At Last

If anyone had doubts that football believes the time is right for change at FIFA, the roll call of people ready to unseat incumbent president Sepp Blatter should dispel them.
With the deadline to submit candidatures for the FIFA presidential election closing at 2300 GMT on Thursday, four men are optimistic of getting their names on the ballot paper for the vote in Zurich on May 29.
Blatter, the 78-year-old Swiss who has been president since 1998, will be bidding for a fifth term and, despite allegations of corruption which have dogged FIFA for years, he remains the overwhelming favourite to be re-elected.
But he is facing something he has not faced before because rather than having no opposition or just one opponent, he has challenges from across the world of football.
The first to declare his intentions a year ago was Frenchman Jerome Champagne, who was FIFA’s former deputy secretary general before leaving the organisation in 2010.

Prince Ali Bin Al-Hussein of Jordan is currently on FIFA’s executive committee as

Michelle Obama's Image Blurred By Saudi Tv During Condolence Visit

The new king shook hands with President Obama at the Erga Palace but apparently didn’t acknowledge the first lady at all.

Michelle Obama was apparently blurred by Saudi TV on a video clip of her visit to meet the new king.
The clip shows President Barack Obama meeting the new Saudi King Salman in Riyadh and shaking his hand as he pays his condolences to the passing of his brother, the late King Abdullah.
However, America's First Lady cannot be seen standing by her husband's side as she appears to have been blurred out by the Saudi state television station.
The 79-year-old new ruler also didn’t shake hands with Michelle during a very brief meeting at the Erga Palace as they attended his brother's funeral, the video suggests.

Why Your Partner Doesn't Want Sex Tonight

Found this on a website for moms called Popsugar . It's an interesting read.

I remember the first time I heard the big "sex" talk at a mom's group. All abuzz with chatter, the women complained that their husbands wanted it — all the time! They made these guys sound like locusts, swarming in on their bodies with a voracious lust. Perhaps the obnoxious pawing of one's hand on your breast after an infant or young child has been attached to you ALL DAY LONG doesn't feel romantic, but feels more like a violation of one's own body, privacy and sanity . . .

But me? Well, I left the group in bewilderment wondering why I didn't have a locust at my house. At the time, my former husband, now known as the ex, wasn't pawing at my body because he was mostly ignoring it, unlike years past. My first initial thought was: It's official — I'm not sexy

And when it comes to shrimp, these crustaceans that swarmed in the waters of river Wouri in 1472 implicitly evoke the history of the name of Cameroon given to this part of the country when came the first foreigners. The miondo crushed cassava starch and cooked in banana slender leaves, eventually assume the position of King of buffets. Another Baobab Has Fallen! General Mambou Deffo is No More

So sorry to have been announcing so many obituaries of late, and I'm now announcing yet another one. Cameroonians are still coming to terms with the death of Mme Françoise Foning yesterday Friday Jan. 23, 2015, and they are being hit with the death of another heavy weight. General Mambou Deffo died today Saturday January 24, 2015, at the National Social Insurance Hospital in Yaounde, following cardiac failure.
The rumor mill was abuzz this morning, alas it is true.
Appointed Inspector General of the National Gendarmerie, General Mambou Deffo was constantly at the forefront of the Road Safety Campaign, which I have had the opportunity to cover several times. I can tell you first hand that he was devoted to this crusade to keep our roads safe.
May his soul rest in peace.

Cameroon-Guinea Match: Mbia Set To Return

Cameroon captain Stephane Mbia is raring to go ahead of Saturday’s Africa Cup of Nations clash with Guinea, having been suspended for his country’s opener.
The Sevilla midfielder was absent as Cameroon kicked off their tournament with a 1-1 draw against Mali – a result that left all four teams in Group D tied on one point after Guinea held Cote d’Ivoire to the same scoreline.
However, Mbia – who replaced the retired Samuel Eto’o as national captain last year – says that he is ready for action should he be called upon by coach Volker Finke.
“I do not feel any discomfort,” he told CRTV. “I’m ready for Saturday’s game against Guinea but do not forget that it is the coach who makes the choice over who makes the starting XI. It’s hard to watch a match from the bench. One

Give These Gloves A Name

Indomitable Lions 19-year old goal keeper Fabrice Ondoua, is looking for a name to give his brand spanking new gloves which he will use through out the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea

He put the interesting request on his Facebook page, and trust Cameroonians, there already are several propositions.
He said he always gives his gloves a name during each competition he's been in, but hasn't found a name yet for these gloves by the "Puma" label.
Here are some of the names proposed by his fans
"Ondoa The Cat", "I Have Faith", "El nino of Cameroon", "Spiderman", "The Spider", "Elevation 2015"

I think we can do better here. Let's hear it guys, any name in mind for these gloves which have to work wonders for Cameroon?

Pope Tells Catholics To Stop Breeding Like Rabbits

This made me smile. Why? Because it reminded me of a conversation I once had with a colleague of mine, who is also a Pentecostal Pastor. He asked me how many kids I have, and when I told him, he actually became angry with me, and asked if I wanted God to also be angry with me. He told me to hurry up and have many more kids.

I asked him how many kids he has, and he replied,10 kids! I didn't tell him this, but in my mind, I was wondering why someone who usually asks me for fuel money, and complains about heavy family responsibilities, would be encouraging another person to have as many kids as himself, because the bible says, "Go into the world and multiply"

Personally, I think the church (not just Catholics alone), should review its stand on family planning, and from the look of things, Pope Francis thinks so too
He raised a few eyebrows recently for indirectly advocating for birth control methods.

Françoise Foning Is Dead!!

A lot of you have been reaching out to me today via SMS, email and even here, asking me to confirm if it's true or not. Sadly, it is true. The woman of the people, and energetic Douala 5 Mayor, Françoise Foning is dead. She succumbed to the injuries sustained during a car accident.
Remember i told you HERE that Mme Foning was invoIved in a ghastly car accident on January 17, which saw her car somersault and crash. She'd been in intensive care since then.
I met her last week in Yaounde, during the 4th elective General Assembly of the United Councils and Cities of Cameroon, she was hale and hearty, even though she'd lost a ton of weight.
That was to be the very last public outing she would ever make, as upon her return to the West region, from that event, she was involved in the accident which has claimed her life.
The details of her death are still sketchy, but I will post them once I have them.
RIP Ma Fo

Update: her corpse(can't believe I'm already using this word), has been conveyed from the Yaounde Central Hospital, to the Yaounde General Hosoital Mortuary.

Stanley Enow Vs Jovi: Who's Your Favorite Rapper

Talented!!!
One word which describes these two Cameroonian rappers.

Stanley Ebai Enow, made history last year, for being the first Cameroonian to be nominated and WIN the prestigious MTV Africa Music Award in the 'Best New Act' category. The Award winning rapper is also now a Guinness #Madeofblack ambassador.

Best known for dropping the 2013 monster hit "Hein Pere" (prompting Trace TV to label him "African music Revelation of the Year."), Stanley Enow has gone on to release successful singles like "TumbuBoss" and a music video for "Njama Njama Cow", collaborating with Ghana's finest, Sarkodie.

Jovi, aka ‘Le Monstre’, aka Ndukong Godlove Nfor, is one prominent Cameroonian rapper constantly compared to Stanley Enow. Their roller coaster blend of pidgin, English and French rap, puts both artists in the same league.

Best known for his single "Cash" whose catch phrase "Met L'Argent a Terre" is on the lips on many young Cameroonians, the University of Soa graduate in Economics and Business Management, is certainly a force to reckon with, in the Cameroon music industry. His hit song “Don 4 Kwat” received heavy airplay on Trace TV and Channel O, his second single, “Pitié” featuring Tabu Ley Rochereau, stayed on the charts for months on pan-African BBC’s Destination Africa hosted by DJ Edu, staying in the top 5 at its peak.

The rumor mill has been buzzing about these two having an ongoing feud, a recent tweet by Stanley Enow looked like he was throwing shade at Jovi even though no names were mentioned.

That is not my interest for today. What I'd like to know is where your pendulum swings, regarding these two gifted artists?
