Back to the matter, Cameroon Tribune reports that:
They were arrested as they entered Cameroon through Nigeria on January 21, 2015 illegally.
The Commissioner of Kumba Central Police Station, Wilson Njumenjikang, in collaboration with officers of the Special Police Intervention Unit, ESIR, arrested 17 illegal immigrants on January 21, 2015, at Ikiliwindi in Konye Sub-division, a few kilometres from Kumba, the headquarters of Meme Division in the South West Region.
The aliens were apprehended as they were being transported from the border town of Ekok in Manyu Division by a clandestine public transport vehicle. According to the Commissioner, the 17 were arrested because they had no official documents that permitted them to enter into Cameroon. Though he said some of them were in possession of passports without visas.
The illegal immigrants disclosed to the police that their destination was actually Gabon, Angola, Equatorial Guinea and Congo in search for jobs.
After serious investigation carried out by Wilson Njumenjikang, it was discovered that out of the 17 immigrants, seven were from Burkina Faso, four from Cote d’Ivoire and two each from Senegal, Togo and Guinea Conakry.
They were later taken to the Legal Department in Kumba where the learned State Counsel, Affa Emmanuel Annah, remanded them in custody at the Kumba Main Prison, while awaiting trial. It is only the verdict of the court that will determine whether they would be sentenced or repatriated.

Hope they will be freed, as for those from Togo we receive visa on arrival so they should be issued their own on arrival too.
