The Bamenda I council has become the first municipality in Cameroon to ban smoking in public places. Since June 1,2015, if you are found smoking in public places, within Bamenda I, you will pay
a fine. According to the Cameroon Coalition Against Tobacco, this decision has been applauded by both the population and visitors.
So, if you are one of those who can't do without the stick, do so within the privacy of your home, when in Bamenda I.
