The Vice President of Sierra Leone, Sam Sumana, has put himself under quarantine after one of his body guards died.I'm watching BBC World news right now, and Vice President Sumana is quoted by BBC correspondent Umaru Fofana, as saying his action is a way of "leading by example", and he does not want to put anyone under risk. He has placed himself in a 21-day quarantine.
That's a true leader there.
This Ebola Virus Disease, is just something else. When everyone begins to see a ray of hope at the end of the tunnel, that's when a worrying surge in the disease resurfaces in Sierra Leone.
With 10,000 lives claimed by Ebola in one year, the disease was on the decline recently. However, 99 new cases were confirmed by the W.H.O weekly report for the region during the week before February 22,2015. Sadly 63 of them are from Sierra Leone.
