First Lady Chantal Biya made a surprising appearance at the Awards Night organised by Canal 2 International, otherwise known as Canal D'Or.
The UN Goodwill Ambassador was there to personally pick up her award of "Best Sponsor", for her humanitarian activities, as well as indefatigable financial support to artists and cultural events.
The golden awards ceremony, also saw artists awarded in 16 categories. Here are some of the winners.
-Best Male Artist: X-Maleya
-Best Female Artist: Coco Argentee
-Most Popular Song: Mani Bella (Pala Pala)
-Best Traditional Music: Mabele Zang
-Best Gospel Artist: Prince de Jesus
-Best Urban Music: Stanley Enoh
-Best African Artist: Flavour
