Never sought a U.S Visa, so I'm not familiar with the scenes at the U.S embassy here in Cameroon, but for the other countries I've been to, particularly one of the Schengen countries, the long queues outside are very discouraging. Got any experiences to share?

Thank God for the timely intervention. did this happen as a result of visa denial?
I never like queues. I always beat queues by leaving the house extra early. But here queuing is a religion and u can't avoid it.
