The Lions will have 12 days to prepare for the upcoming Africa Cup Of Nations. The training sessions will hold in Yaounde and Gabon. In Yaounde, from January 5-7, the team will train at the the Yaounde Omnisports stadium. This will culminate in a friendly with another African team participating at the upcoming competition, and which has also chosen to train in Yaounde. Negotiations are said to be ongoing with
the Democratic Republic of Congo, according to the Lions Team Press Officer, Vincent de Paul Atangana.
The Lions will thus bid goodbye to the Cameroonian public in the traditional way they do prior to leaving for competitions, after their friendly match.
The team will proceed to Libreville Gabon from January 7, where climatic conditions will be similar to what they will experience in Malabo. They will train at the "L'Amitie Sino-Gabonaise" stadium in Angondje. The choice of Gabon, is also linked to the presence there, of several other African teams participating at the AFCON 2015.
The Lions plan to play 2 friendly matches against South Africa(January 9) and Gabon(January 12).
Group mates Cote d'Ivoire, will prepare for the competition in Abu Dhabi.
