The Lions Coach Volker Finke, has recalled Aurelien Chedjou for the preparatory phase in view of the upcoming Africa Nations Cup holding in Equatorial Guinea from Jan. 17 to Feb. 08.
According to the website lionindomitable.com, the recall of the Besiktas player, is the result of pressure on the head coach from the president of the FECAFOOT Normalisation committee. Joseph Owona is said to have lifted the suspension (so he was suspended?when was this announced nah..lol) on the defender, who was accused of having consumed alcohol during the team's disgraceful outing at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
He is expected to join his team mates from Jan. 06, one day after the others begin training.
