BICEC Vehicle Attacked By Armed Assailants in Far North

      

The Vehicle is reported to have been recovered by the Rapid Intervention Battalion(BIR), and ferried back to Maroua.

According to Cameroon-info.net, the incident all began on Friday December 19, at about 6pm, when a vehicle owned by BICEC Bank, was attacked by presumed Boko Haram assailants at a place called Double in Mayo Sava. The heavily armed men are reported to have killed two occupants of the car leaving two others wounded.


After the attack , they attempted to flee with the vehicle across the border to Nigeria, but the vehicle was immobilized by its GPS just before the border.


The wounded persons and the vehicle are said to be safely back in Maroua.
