Gervinho Gets 2-Game Ban For Slapping Keita

The Cote d’Ivoire attacker was sent off for hitting out at the Guinea player during their Africa Cup of Nations clash
Gervinho will miss the remainder of Cote d’Ivoire’s Africa Cup of Nations group matches after he was handed a two-game ban for hitting Naby Keita.
With his side 1-0 down and just 13 minutes into the second half, The Roma forward struck the Guinea player on the head and was shown a straight red card.
Luckily for Gervinho, Seydou Doumbia emerged from the bench later in the game to score and rescue a point for the Elephants as the game finished 1-1.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has suspended Gervinho for the matches against Cameroon and Mali. He will only feature in the tournament again if his side makes it into the quarterfinals.
The 27-year-old took to his Twitter account on Wednesday to apologize to his fans.

“I would like to apologize to the Ivorian nation, to my teammates, to the supporters and to the organizers of the CAN for this angry gesture which is totally out of character and evidently has no place on a football pitch,” he tweeted.

They'll always behave as such and apologise later. Not sure it's sincere as Canasia mentioned. Let them put their emotions under serious check and let selection be based on how they can withstand some emotional issues.
