Internship Opportunity At British High Commission Yaounde!!

The British High Commission Yaounde (BHC Yaounde) has an opening for four (4) interns to work for three months slots each during the period February 2015- January 2016. We are looking for students with an interest and ability in political and communication work.
The intern will work with the Political and Communication team to monitor local and international news on a daily basis producing interesting daily news summaries for the team. The intern will also carry out other duties that will be required of her/him by the section as need arises. A mastery of the English Language, writing skills and other digital communication skills are key requirements.

Application procedure
Applications must be accompanied by documentary evidence (i.e. a letter of confirmation from a university) of continuing matriculation, university transcripts, an up-to-date curriculum vitae and a short essay in English (about 200-250 words) outlining the applicant's motivation for doing an internship.
Eligibility and conditions
Applicants must be holders of a Bachelor’s degree (or the equivalent) and be enrolled in a degree programme in a graduate school (working towards a second university degree or higher) at the time of application and during the internship.
Undergraduates who have not completed at least three years of full-time studies and those graduates with a higher degree who have already completed all of their studies are not eligible to participate in the internship programme. Students who have completed in-class studies and are required to complete an internship as a requirement for the award of their diploma/degree may be accepted.

Fields of study
Fields of study include economic, social and political sciences, journalism, media, publishing, information technology, international relations and law.
