2 Highway Robbers Killed In Nwa, NorthWest Region

   

Two highway robbers, names gotten as Adamou Moussa(23) and Malou Bouba(34), were killed last week in Nwa, Donga Mantung Division, North West. They were members of a gang of four whose specialty was the waylaying of vehicles along one of the roads in the area. Their method of operation:
using tree trunks to barricade the road, thereby stopping every vehicle that came along. Passengers were robbed and often assaulted.
The gang's activities was brought to an end recently by elements of the Nwa Gendarmerie Brigade, alerted by the population. A shootout with the thieves resulted in 2 of the bandits dead. Two of them however managed to escape, one of the fugitives is said to be seriously wounded.
A locally made gun, two machetes, bullets, 7 mobile phones, backpacks, FCFA37450, and some Nigerian currency, are among the objects recovered from the gang. A manhunt is on for the pair that escaped
