The young player Indomitable Lion, Brice Nlate Ekongolo, was victim of a car accident in Yaounde Friday night. According to Soleil Roger Nyassa, Director General of Canon Sportif Yaounde, Ekongolo had been returning from Mfou, not far from Yaounde, when he had a head-on collision with another vehicle. This he added, has left the player with a leg fracture and other serious injuries. He is said to be currently receiving treatment at the Social Insurance Hospital in Yaounde, and while arrangements are being made for him to be evacuated to France tonight.
The reserve player for Olympique of Marseille, was one of the players called up by Coach Volker Finke to train for AFCON 2015 from January 5.
From the look of things, Brice Nlate Ekongolo will not take part in that competition.
Well, I say thank God for sparing his life, and I wish him a speedy recovery.
