The new king shook hands with President Obama at the Erga Palace but apparently didn’t acknowledge the first lady at all.
Michelle Obama was apparently blurred by Saudi TV on a video clip of her visit to meet the new king.
The clip shows President Barack Obama meeting the new Saudi King Salman in Riyadh and shaking his hand as he pays his condolences to the passing of his brother, the late King Abdullah.
However, America's First Lady cannot be seen standing by her husband's side as she appears to have been blurred out by the Saudi state television station.
The 79-year-old new ruler also didn’t shake hands with Michelle during a very brief meeting at the Erga Palace as they attended his brother's funeral, the video suggests.
Other news organizations, such as Al Jazeera, showed the meeting without obscuring Michelle Obama’s face.
The person who downloaded the video clip online on LiveLeak said: "I captured the screenshot of one video before it was taken down. The Arab news service Mashahead posted on YouTube a video taken from the Saudi government television broadcast.
"Some Arab media outlets criticized Michelle Obama for wearing a blue dress, rather than a black one, which some say would have been more appropriate for a funeral."
King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia died in hospital on Thursday last week at the age of 90, after battling pneumonia.
The monarch, thought to be worth $18bn (£12bn) has ruled oil-rich Saudi Arabia since 2005, but has been absent from public events in recent months due to his ill health.

i am not surprised by the action of the new king and the state tv.they are simply following the foot steps of the former king who never tolerated women during his reign.
