Pizza Shop Closed Down After Rats Were Filmed Tasting The Food

   

A takeaway has been closed by police after a would-be customer filmed a three hungry, huge rats chowing down on pizzas at the shop.
Disgusted Evgeny Ivanov, 26, had gone to the fast-food outlet at a bus station in Nizhny Novogorad, Russia, when he spotted the helping themselves to the pizzas.
Police confirmed they had ordered the outlet to be closed and the food destroyed.
After filming the shocking scenes on his mobile phone, Evgeny said: "I couldn’t believe it."
"The three rats were enormous and were blatantly gnawing away at the pizzas - I don't know where the pizza seller was.
"I got the phone out as I wanted to prove what was happening, there is a real problem with rats around here and seeing this is just unbelievable."

A spokesman for the food outlet said: "We are aware of the situation and are taking measures to remove the rats permanently and make sure they don't come back.
"Why the sales assistant didn’t alert us to the problem we have no idea but we will be questioning her."

A police spokesman said: "We have ordered the pizza outlet to be closed and the food items to be destroyed.
"This is a grave danger to the public and we will be checking other outlets to ensure nothing similar is happening or is allowed to happen in the future."
