BBC Report: Over 5000 People Died From Jihadist Attacks In Nov, 15 FromCameroon


According to statistics by the BBC World Service and International Centre for the study of Radicalization,15 Cameroonians are amongst the  5,042 deaths from 664 jihadist attacks, recorded in the month of November. Iraq, Nigeria, Syria and Afghanistan account for 80% of the total death toll.

Can someone please tell me, what is the appeal of these terrorists. Why are people leaving their country to go fight for these extremists? do they pay them or do they promise them a head on a stick each.... I am lost as to why someone will leave a free country to fight for something that has nothing to do with them
