The tides have turned for the candidates whose aspirations for the post of FECAFOOT president, were recently dashed. The Electoral Commission led by Joseph Owona, has taken a decision which now gives the invalidated candidates another chance.

T.B Joshua Asks Coroner to Stop Inquest On Building Collapse

  

Prophet T.B Joshua has asked the Lagos state High Court in Ikeja to stop proceedings of the coroner inquest set up by the Lagos state govt to look into the circumstances that led to his church's building collapse on Sept. 12th which led to the death of 116 people.

T.B Joshua, who filed the appeal through his counsel, Olalekan Ojo, also asked the court to declare that his invitation to appear as a witness before the coroner was a breach of his right to fair hearing, as no case had been established against him before the coroner.

T.B Joshua who was supposed to appear before the coroner yesterday, through his counsel, asked the coroner to suspend proceedings pending the outcome of the case he just filed against it which is to be called up for hearing on December 3rd.

The coroner, Magistrate O.A. Komolafe however declined his request saying no one had served him court document to that effect.

Young Woman Kills Self After Boyfriend's Suicide

       

Her boyfriend (19 year old Phil James), killed himself two months ago, by throwing himself infront of a moving train. Becky Tait, the 20 year old lady, didn't see herself living without him, and did exactly the same thing, she jumped in front of a moving train. 

She will be buried today in St Michael's Church, Stone, U.K, leaving friends and family distraught.

Fire Guts 8-Appartment Plank Building in Mile 16 Buea

Five families have been rendered homeless in Mile 16, Bolifamba, on the outskirts of Buea. Reports say the fire outbreak completely razed their plank building to ashes yesterday evening November 20, at about 6.30 pm.

Cameroon Cup Finals, Cotton Sport Vs Panthere, Free Access Into StadiumFor All

       

The Yaounde Omnisports stadium is currently receiving a facelift, in preparation for Sunday's Cup of Cameroon Final, pitting Cotton Sport of Garoua and Panthere of Nde. All the tribunes are being revamped, the interior and exterior of the stadium cleaned up. Meanwhile, general rehearsals will take place this afternoon.

Panthere of Nde is already in Yaounde, while Cotton Sport of Garoua is expected anytime soon. 

Sunday's match promises to be an interesting one to watch. Cotton Sport has won the Cup five times (2003, 2004, 2007, 2008, 2011). Matches between Cotton and Panthere this season, have been in favor of Cotton. However, Panthere has never lost a final of the Cameroon Cup(1988, 2009)

NBC Cancels Bill Cosby's Upcoming Show In The Face Of Growing RapeAccusations

        

Bill Cosby was supposed to star in an untitled comedy from Sony Pictures Television in which he was to play a family patriarch and father to three married daughters with children.

NBC's decision to scrap the new Cosby show comes after decades-old rape allegations against the legendary comedian resurfaced. In 2006, Cosby settled out of court with Andrea Constand, who claimed he'd sexually assaulted her. According to court documents, the attorneys planned to bring forward 13 other women with similar allegations. Cosby has denied these allegations.

But he has not come out to say any thing since the new rape allegations came to the fore. Several women have come out in the past few weeks accusing him of raping them during his days of 'The Cosby Show'

Happening Now: FECAFOOT Normalisation Committee Retains OnlyTombi,Rejects All Other Candidates For FECAFOOT PRESIDENCY

Tombi A Roko Sidiki, is the only man who the FECAFOOT Normalisation Committee has accepted as presidential candidate for the November 29 General Election. This was made known just a few minutes ago, at the end of a late evening press conference.
 The other candidates have all been rejected including Joseph Antoine Bell, Penne Robert, Atah Robert,Nyongha Jules and Mebande Brigitte. Their files are said to have been rejected for incomplete documentation. 

The current FECAFOOT  Secretary General Tombi, is the only candidate who is said to have met all the necessary requirements as per the texts sent by FIFA to the Normalisation Committee.

The man who got to announce his declaration the last, has become the one and only candidate.

Research Findings In Buea University May Soon Help Police UnmaskCriminals

Researchers of the Biotechnology Unit of the University of Buea, are currently carrying out research on DNA, which may just soon enable the Police Force to establish a DNA database. This means, with their research findings, blood and semen found at a crime scene can be tested and the criminal(s) traced by the police.
