Valery Mezague Laid to Rest in Baleveng


      

The late Cameroonian footballer, Valery Mezague, was buried over the weekend, on Sunday November 30, in his native Baleveng, in the Menoua division, West region.
His remains arrived the Yaounde Nsimalen International Airport the previous day, Saturday at 10pm. His body was conveyed to the "Foyer Baleveng", where Yaounde city dwellers paid tribute to the late footballer. Early Sunday morning, Mezague's corpse began its last journey, to the village, where he was laid to rest at 1.45pm.
Present at the funeral was the President of the Menoua divisional league of FECAFOOT, Etienne Tamo, who according to online reports presented a message of  condolence from FECAFOOT as well as a cheque to the family.
 The late player who would have been 31 this December was born in Marseille France, and was called up 7 times to the Cameroon National Team. He died in Toulon, France, of cardiac arrest.
